Healthy Families Application: Features & How to Use

The Healthy Family application has recently become a hot topic of conversation. Many people have heard about this application but don't understand its benefits, features, or how to use it.

Seeing this, of course we are moved to present the information for you. If you want to know more about this application from the government, let's read this article to the end.

What is the Healthy Family Application?

The Healthy Family Application is an innovation from the Ministry of Health as a form of effort to support the Healthy Indonesia Program with a Family Approach or abbreviated as PIS-PK.

This application was first launched by Pusdatin in 2015 under the name Prokesga. At that time, this application was intended to assist the service process and patient data collection carried out by health facilities from various regions. Then, over time this application underwent name changes and feature upgrades.

In 2016 Prokesga then changed to the Healthy Family Application and has continued to this day. This application is a form of commitment from the government to always provide the best health services for people in Indonesia.

This application will make it easier for surveyors to collect data from all families in Indonesia, whether in areas that already have internet access or not.

Healthy Family Application Features

The presence of this application in the community is equipped with several functional features. Some of them are as follows.

1. Active Years feature

The first feature included in this application is the active year feature. This is a special feature for central admin only. Through this feature, the central admin can determine the time or period of the active year to create data survey reports. Thus, surveyors can only enter data for active years and cannot enter data for periods of inactive years.

2. Work Area Transfer Feature

This feature is also only available in the central admin. Through this feature, the admin can transfer data for a family from Health Center A to Health Center B if the family changes residence.

3. Work Area Features

The work area feature is a special feature for admins at the Puskesmas. This feature allows the puskesmas admin to map the known working areas of the puskesmas. The method is by registering the working area of the Puskesmas per village or per sub-district, whether in one sub-district or more.

4. Residential Pillars feature

As the name suggests, this feature will help register RT and RW according to their working area, either on a per village or per sub-district basis. In addition, this is a special feature for Puskesmas admins only.

If there is an area that does not have an RT or RW, then the regional health center is responsible for carrying out an inventory of the area by doing the numbering independently.

5. Area Target Features

It is still a feature specifically for Puskesmas admins. This area target feature will help determine the number of targets or targets to be recorded in a Puskesmas work area. Usually, this target will be based on the number of target families in a Puskesmas working area, be it per village or per kelurahan.

6. Target Surveyor feature

The Target Surveyor feature is a feature that allows the Puskesmas admin to set a work target that must be achieved by the surveyor. The purpose of making this target is to speed up the process of collecting data on family health in an area.

In addition, the existence of this target can also increase the surveyor's sense of responsibility and care for family data which is his duty. This feature can only be used by the Puskesmas admin.

7. Area Monitoring Feature

The area monitoring feature functions to supervise or monitor the work achievements of the surveyors and the Puskesmas. The trick is to compare the numbers that have been set as targets, with the number of family data obtained.

8. Health Center IKS features

IKS stands for Healthy Family Index. This feature contains a healthy family index in each region which is obtained based on certain indicators.

9. Crosstab feature

The last feature that we can find in this application is Crosstab. This feature functions as an analyzer of data that has been entered. The data analysis process is carried out using raw data that has been downloaded using the Puskesmas admin application account.

Furthermore, the data will be processed independently and then uploaded again. Uploaded raw data can be used and customized in the form of Crosstab data analysis and can be presented in graphical, tabular, or other forms.

How to Access the Healthy Families Application

After knowing the features contained in the application, maybe you are also curious about how to access it. Relax, we have also prepared the information for you below.

1. Websites

If you access it through the website, there are several types of modules, each of which has a different function and role.
  • Administrator
Through this module, you can manage menus on accounts that are owned by the application. In addition, you can also manage user information if needed at any time.
  • Dashboards
On the Dashboard module, you can see the output of total family information that has been recorded. The output of this information can be seen by category of area coverage. In addition, this module also allows you to present aggregate information output obtained from the results of data calculations in the field.
  • Questionnaire
The questionnaire module allows you to enter field data information into the database more practically. This is because the data input process is done online.

2. Androids

Just like before, on the Android platform you will also find several modules including the following.
  • Dashboards
Even though it is almost the same as the one on the website platform, the Dashboard module in the Android version of the application has a more complete function. This module supports users to view output data for the number of families that have been recorded in order of region.

This module consists of regional Healthy Family Index (IKS) and data collection status. The difference is that the data collection status is an application interface that will make it easier for users to be able to review the status of data collection on the Healthy Family Index which is carried out by the Puskesmas in stages.
  • Questionnaire
Through this questionnaire module, users can fill in field data directly into the Healthy Families Application database. This data input process can be done online or offline.

How to use the Healthy Family Application

To be able to use this application, the District or City Health Office needs to apply for access first. This application was made to the Ministry of Health and contains information on prospective managers of the Healthy Family Application at the Puskesmas, consisting of:
  • 1 Supervisor (field data collection coordinator)
  • 1 Puskesmas administrator,
  • head of health center,
  • 10 surveyors.
The data is then equipped with the Puskesmas code, the name of the Puskesmas, the address of the Puskesmas, full name, NIP, NIK of prospective supervisors, prospective surveyors, administrators, and the head of the Puskesmas. Also, don't forget to include each position, cell phone number, and email.

Next, send the data to the Ministry of Health. The address is Jl. H.R. Rasuna Said Block X.5 Kav. 4-9, City of South Jakarta, DKI Jakarta 12950. You can also send it online via email to familysehat@kemkes.go.id.

After the data reaches the Data Center of the Ministry of Health, it's just waiting for it to be verified and processed. If the letter submitted is complete and correct, then the next step is the generation of the District or City Health Service account.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health will send accounts from the Provincial Health Office, District or City Health Office, as well as the Puskesmas admin. After the account is received, the District or City Health Service is obliged to distribute it to each Puskesmas admin account.

Furthermore, the distribution will be continued by the head of the Puskesmas to surveyors or data collectors. After that, the surveyor will look at the field data of the Puskesmas aggregate data, review district/city aggregate data, aggregate national data, and download data in .csv format.

That's complete information about the Healthy Family Application. Hopefully this information is quite understandable and we can carry out this government program as well as possible.
